The Anti-rogue Software Alliance will hold a concert in the new Get Lucky Bar in Beijing on the evening of Jan 27th. Dong Haipin, who is in charge of the Anti-rogue Software Alliance, hopes that the evening will help to promote concern on the state of anti-rogue software in China.

Although the evening is one of entertainment, it was revealed that about three or four songs will be performed that take the situation of anti-rogue software as their theme.

Dong Haiping said that in previously, only industry insiders and directly involved parties have paid close attention to the ongoing struggle with anti-rogue software, while common citizens didn’t know much knowledge of the situation. It is hoped that the concert will work to educate ordinary people about the hazards of leaving rogue and viral software uncontested in China's growing Internet industry.

On September 4, 2006, the Anti-rogue Software Alliance was established and songs like "Rogues" and "Too Impudent" have already been released. Dong Haiping said that he has many friends in music circles and such music works were all created by music professionals, such as Wan Xiaoli, Ma Tiao, Wang Juan, Zhou Yunpeng and Dong Zi.

In 2006, the Anti-rogue Alliance has brought lawsuits in eight cities against Zhongsou, Yahoo, eBay, Henbang Media Group, ChinaInter Active Corporation and the China Internet Information Center. However, these lawsuits almost all ended in losses for the Alliance.

Dong said that they are undergoing the assessments of overseas lawsuits in regards to costs, laws and risks, but nothing has yet to be settled in this ongoing struggle.
