Chinese director Jia Zhangke gave a lecture to 350 filmmakers in Berlin as the president of the Berlinale Talent Campus held by the youth forum at this year's ongoing Berlin Film Festival.

On the theme of "Local Movies Accepted Globally," Jia took his Golden Bear-winning movie "Still Life" as an example of expressing that though our culture are different, the messages delivered by movies cross terroritorial lines.

The year's campus selected 350 young filmmakers from 4,000 applicants, inviting them to communicate with filmmaking mentors led by Jia Zhangke.
