Chinese director Wu Tianming has been given a lifetime achievement award at this year's Vesoul in France.

The 13th Vesoul Asian Film Festival closed in Vesoul city in France on February 20.

The week-long festival screened six movies directed by Wu Tianming, honoring his dedication to Chinese cinema.

He is the first Chinese director to receive a life achievement award at the film festival.

Famous Chinese director Xie Fei was invited to serve as president of the jury panel for this year's festival.

Established in 1995, the annual Vesoul Asian Film Festival is one of the oldest Asian film festivals in France and Europe.
