10 Vietnamese sailors rescued after ship capsizes in S China

NANNING, Feb. 27 -- Ten Vietnamese sailors from a sunken coaler were salvaged near Qinzhou Port, south China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region on Tuesday.

The Vietnamese ship, with registered number of QN5489, capsized in rough seas at 3 a.m. and its crew of ten sailors fell into water about five nautical miles from the coast, according to the rescuers.

The rescue operation took four hours, they said.

The local government has provided food, clothes, shoes for the sailors and has taken them to hospital for medical check-ups.
