A girl in Zhejiang is planning to undergo plastic surgery to become a "man-made Fan Bingbing." Fan Bingbing is a mainland Chinese actress.

Prior to this, all the major media in China have been paying close attention to a girl called Li Yao from the Hunan Province who is having a facelift to become a "man-made Li Xiang." (Li Xiang is a famous TV hostess in a Hunan Satellite TV Station). In an interesting twist, the girl from Zhejiang is challenging her look-alike predecessor claiming, "Because Fan Bingbing is more popular than Li Xiang, I'll be more promising than Li Yao after my facelift."

The 24-year-old girl, named Bao Meimei, is 1.67 meters in height and participated in the Miss Asia Network Contest last year, winning second place. In addition, she was among the top 20 in the selection of the image spokesperson of Sibutramine, a popular medicine that helps with weight loss. Meimei also has acted in some films, although not well-known ones. She is currently an actress employed by a Culture Communications company in Wuhan City.

When asked why she chooses to go that far to Wuhan to get the plastic surgery, she disclosed, "I heard that a medical expert, who had been working in Beijing and is now in Wuhan, has done the body liposuction surgery for Fan Bingbing. As he must know Fan Bingbing's body proportion, I want him to do the same surgery for me as Fan Bingbing's."

In regards to Meimei's facelift, a person at the medical plastic surgery hospital said, "Bao Meimei has actually visited our hospital, but because she doesn't look like Fan Bingbing, it was too difficult making her like her. At least a dozen surgeries will be required, costing more than RMB 1 million (130 million USD)."
