Changhong, China's biggest television maker, has built the country's first Plasma Display Panel (PDP) production line at the end of April. This factory is located in Mianyang, a city in Sichuan Province.

The total investment in the PDP production line will be US$2 billion, and the first term invest will be US$675 million.

A spokesperson for Changhong said this particular factory is the largest investment Changhong Corporation has made in 49 years, as well as the biggest single project investment in Sichuan province until now.
