GENEVA, July 24 (Xinhua) -- China on Tuesday blocked requests made by the United States and Mexico for a World Trade Organization (WTO) experts panel to investigate allegedly illegal Chinese industrial subsidies, trade sources said. "We are puzzled by the complainants' decision to initiate the panel process," the Chinese trade delegation told a meeting of the WTO's Dispute Settlement Body (DSB). China stressed that it had already taken active measures to reform its company taxation regime and "measures identified by the complainants are fully consistent with WTO subsidy rules."
