    BEIJING, Dec. 25 (Xinhua) -- Chinese police smashed an international drug trafficking ring, the Ministry of Public Security (MPS) announced here on Tuesday.

    Police in eastern China's Zhejiang Province smashed the ring, arrested 10 suspects and destroyed one drug factory in Zhejiang's Cangnan County, Liu Yuejin, deputy director of the narcotics control bureau with the MPS, said.

    The police seized 16.8 kilograms of methamphetamine hydrochloride -- commonly known as "ice" -- as well as 45.9 kg of semi-manufactured ice and 21 kg of ephedrine, raw materials for ice, Liu added.

    In June, police from Fujian launched a joint campaign with police in the Philippines. They seized raw materials and equipment for ice production during the campaign, he said.

    On Sept. 15, Lu Zhengdai and other seven suspects were arrested in Cangnan Count...
