Rescuers were finally able to locate yesterday the entrance to the main deck of a Ukrainian tugboat that sank off Lantau Island last Saturday, but the 18 sailors trapped inside the vessel had yet to be saved.

The rescue efforts, jointly conducted by experts from the Fire Services Department, Marine Department and Guangzhou Salvage Bureau, remained futile yesterday.
