    BEIJING, May 16 (Xinhua) -- Twenty Sudanese soldiers have finished a humanitarian land mine-clearing training course in Nanjing, capital of east China's Jiangsu Province.

    During the program, the soldiers from the north and south of Sudan learned the use of equipment and the procedure for mine-clearing actions. They also carried out mine-clearing field exercises, according to China's Foreign Ministry.

    The ministry said in a press release that the course was an important step in the Chinese government's active participation in international mine-clearing, and it also demonstrates the Chinese government's firm support for Sudan's national reconciliation process.
