Folding fans, bamboo flute and Cheongsam, or Qipao, all these Chinese elements have been added into a cosplay.

Based on Legend of Sword and Fairy, one of the most popular computer games in China, a group named "Nineteen" won the first place in a cosplay competition held in Wuhan, the capital of central China's Hubei Province on Monday.

The traditional elements used by "Nineteen" won them much applaud, the Chutian Metropolis Daily reported.

Cosplay is a game that originated in Japan. Youngsters who make real-life costumes and dress up like animated characters are called cosers.
