BEIJING, July 9 (Xinhua) -- Chinese shares soared in the morning session, led by rising financial, insurance and real estate stocks.
The Shanghai index which includes both A and B shares ended at 2,898.83, up 83.88 points or 2.98 percent over the previous close.
The Shenzhen Component Index rose 239.39 points or 2.41 percent to 10,189.67.
The Hushen 300 Index, which reflects both exchanges, closed at 2,980.00, up 78.16 points, or 2.69 percent.
Combined turnover in the two bourses was 88.4 billion yuan (12.6 billion U.S. dollars).
