At 6:37am on September 7th a magnitude 3 earthquake struck Yangjiang city in Yangxi County (21.8 N, 111.8E) of Guangdong. No injuries or major damage resulted from the earthquake. However, it was the most powerful earthquake to occur in the city out of the five small earthquakes that took place from September 1st to the 7th.
