HONG KONG, Oct. 12 (Xinhua) -- The Security Bureau of Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) government on Sunday again reminded Hong Kong residents who plan to visit Thailand soon to keep themselves abreast of the situation there.
According to a travel advice issued by the bureau, those Hong Kong residents who are already in Thailand should attend to their personal safety and avoid demonstrations or large gatherings of people.
The HKSAR government will continue to liaise with the Office of the Commissioner of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of China in Hong Kong and the Chinese Embassy in Thailand to closely monitor developments, a spokesman of the Security Bureau said, though the Immigration Department has not received any new requests for assistance.
