Foreigners complain all the time about life in China. So why don't they just leave? The answer is simple: life is better for us here than back home because we get special treatment.
The renovation work of the historic Peace Hotel in Shanghai could erase the culture and tradition of the building. But sadly, it's just the latest in a long line of cultural relics that are being discarded to make way for the new and modern.
Things don't work in China the same way they do in the west. The first priority is to take your time, and never, ever rush the Chinese.

They can be found in nearly every Chinese city: the barber shop minus the barber. Instead, groups of pretty women can be seen sitting outside, trying to lure customers to their business. The question is, what kind of business is it?
