Randy Powers is a fun-loving rogue who is fascinated with the workings of the female mind and body. He's China Bounder with a conscience and Austin Powers with good teeth, the best of both worlds.

He's a writer and socialite who likes hanging around in China's varied cafes, shopping malls, office buildings and restaurants and talking to girls. He also goes to the gym once or twice a week just to keep his body in reasonable shape, but he's not into shaping or any of that metro-sexual stuff. He's an old-fashioned kind of guy in many ways and might feel more at home in the sixties. He's an avid, versatile socializer, fitting in just as easily at a snobby PR event as at a dive bar where Qingdao sells for 10 kuai a pop.

He's been in China a while and has become cynical about some aspects of life here. However, he can still have a good laugh and poke fun at life in an optimistic, humourous way, without taking things too seriously. He is insightful and refuses to go along with the masses. But he doesn't like any BS or pretentious types, and likes to comment on what's going on in the media, popular culture, fashion, social habits and other developments.

He's got lots of opinions and likes to speak his mind. He likes to talk about a girl's intellect, while describing her bust size at the same time; the concept of intelligence and big breasts in a woman are not mutually exclusive and he likes women who are comfortable with who they are, without taking themselves too seriously.
